Five officers were shot in east central Minnesota on Thursday evening, August 4, 2023. The suspect is not in custody and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The shooting occurred in the town of St. Cloud, Minnesota, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The officers were responding to a report of a man with a gun. When they arrived on the scene, the suspect opened fire on them.

Three of the officers were shot in the chest, one was shot in the arm, and one was shot in the leg. All five officers were transported to the hospital, where they are in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene in a black SUV. He is described as a white male in his 20s, with a short beard and mustache. He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

The St. Cloud Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting or the suspect to contact them immediately.
